Teacher Appreciation Week (May 5, 2025 - May 9, 2025) is the perfect time to celebrate the incredible educators who go above and beyond for their students every day. To show our gratitude, we’re giving away something truly special – an unforgettable field trip experience for one lucky teacher and their class! 

We’re partnering with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) to make this giveaway possible. 

Any teachers nominated for Teacher of the Month through the Ohio Lottery’s Partners in Education program through March 10, 2025, are eligible. The selected teacher will win a field trip to an Ohio State Park or designated area for their class as well as a $500 gift card from the Ohio Lottery for the school where the teacher is employed.  

The winning teacher will also be announced on both the Ohio Lottery and ODNR social media channels during Teacher Appreciation Week. 

What is Partners in Education (PIE)? 

Partners in Education is our program that recognizes Ohio students, teachers, and schools for outstanding performance and achievement. Based on the nominations received, three teachers and three students are recognized monthly, September through May, either as an Academic All-Star or as a Teacher of the Month. Schools K-12 that are implementing and developing student's literacy skills to achieve success in reading can also be nominated for School of the Year.  

Teacher of the Month winners receive a prize pack along with a $500 gift card, Academic All-Star winners receive a prize pack along with a $100 gift card and the School of the Year receives a $2,500 gift card and prize pack.  

Nominations for the program are accepted by the 10th of each month through an online submission form on the Ohio Lottery website.

Past winning teachers and their class have visited Malabar Farm as well as a canoe trip down the Sandusky River along with a hike!
