Retailer Spotlight

WORTHINGTON, OH –  Guru Wine in Worthington is this week’s Ohio Lottery Retailer-of-the-Week. 

This location has been selling Ohio Lottery tickets for five years, and owner Muralidhar Rao said friendly customer service with a smile and a willingness to cash winning tickets have helped make the location a success.  

Customers can purchase tickets at the counter or through the self-service terminal. There is also a corner table and chairs near the window for customers to use to scratch their tickets or play KENO. 

Guru Wine cashes all winning tickets, and customers often stay to play.  

“I carry the top 25 scratch-off games, so I have a good variety of choices. I always emphasize KENO promotions with friendly reminders and remind customers of Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots and draw days,” Rao said.  

Lottery Sales Representative Kathleen Kizer nominated Guru Wine because the location has outstanding KENO sales. She said the store cashes winning tickets, and many customers come to the location because of that convenience.
