The days are ticking by until Halloween, and Ohio Lottery players are all dressed up as winners!

No tricks here, just real winners enjoying the excitement of a win, like Michael Wood from Curtice.

Michael purchased an auto-pick ticket for the October 7 Powerball drawing.

He was surprised when he discovered he matched the first five numbers, but missed the Powerball and won $1,000,000!

Michael plans to buy a new truck and put an addition on his house, something he said he's wanted to do for a long time.

He said the day he bought the ticket, he had already purchased $20 worth of Powerball tickets.

While he was in line he heard to girls behind him say they didn't have enough money for their purchase, so he gave them $10 and decided since he was still there he'd buy another $10 of Powerball.

That ticket was the one with the winning wager!

You can now redeem winning tickets up to $599.99 on Ohio Lottery self-serve kiosks, but there are a couple of differences you should know about depending on which kiosk you use.
  
What does it mean to redeem your ticket? When you redeem a ticket on one of our self-serve kiosks, your winnings are loaded onto the machine for you to use to purchase more Ohio Lottery games.
 
To redeem a winning ticket on the Winstation, you scan your ticket twice.

The first scan will tell you how much you won. The second scan will load your winnings onto the kiosk.
 
When you redeem a winning ticket on the Winstation, you must use all your winnings to purchase more tickets from the machine.

The Winstation does not cash out or issue vouchers for any balance left on the machine.
 
If you’ve won a larger prize, you might not want to redeem your ticket on the Winstation.

If you don’t want to use all your winnings to purchase more tickets from the machine, make sure you don’t scan your winning ticket a second time.  
 
The Dream Touch, Touch and Win and Multi-Play kiosks give you the flexibility to redeem your ticket and use some of your winnings to purchase tickets.

Once you scan your winning ticket, you can use the touch screen to make your selections.

You can get a voucher for the balance of your winnings left on the machine.
 
You can use your voucher at another Dream Touch, Touch and Win or Multi-play kiosk or take it to an Ohio Lottery retailer to receive your winnings.

October 9 was a lucky drawing day for a man in Parma Heights.

He won the $5.5 million Classic Lotto jackpot. The winner chose the cash option prize and will receive $1.98 million after taxes.

Yorktown Service Plaza in Parma Heights sold the winning ticket.

An Athens County resident also won big in the October 9 Classic Lotto Kicker drawing to win $100,000!

Circle K #5356 in Crooksville sold the winning ticket.

The winning numbers were 9-16-18-27-41-44.

Circle K in Crooksville sold a $100,000 Classic Lotto Kicker winner.

The winning numbers were 6-4-1-0-3-2.

Draw games aren't the only ones with winners.

Charles and Jeffery shared in the fun of winning on the $20 scratch-off, Deluxe.

The pair won $80,000 a year for 25 years. They decided to take the cash option prize and will split the $1,000,000 prize.

Gnome for the Holidays is back! This $2 scratch-off has a top prize of $10,000. Scratch the snowflakes and peppermints and keep an eye out for the tree symbol to double your prize.

The $5 scratch-off, Holiday Lucky X10 has a top prize $100,000. If you win, make sure you scratch the gift-wrapped bonus box and reveal your bonus number to multiply your total winnings. Holiday Lucky X10 has over $24 million in total prizes up for grabs.

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year could leave you with a $500,000 prize! This $10 scratch-off gives you the chance to scratch off the bows on the tree in search of your prize. And don’t forget to scratch the bonus gift boxes. If you find an ornament symbol in the $50 bonus box, you win $50 automatically! If you find a bell symbol in the $100 bonus box, you win $100 automatically!
