“I’Shun has exemplified Saint Martin excellence

through tremendous academic improvement, superb daily attendance, modeling student leadership and exceeding expectations through the Corporate Work Study Program. I’Shun is recognized as the most improved student in academic performance. He also exemplifies an infectious and positive demeanor as he perseveres to improve by seeking support before, during and after school. Over this month, I’Shun Patterson demonstrated the characteristics of a Saint Martin Lion! We are proud of you!” – Gina Eaton, Administrator

“Being a leader in junior high can be difficult, but Tucker makes it look easy. As an 8th grader, Tucker is on student council, is a Washington D.C. trip student advisor, plays football, wrestles and plays basketball. But he also leads with character as evidenced by receiving the OHSAA Sportsmanship, Ethics, and Integrity Award at the end of the year as a 7th grader and is consistently on honor roll. He voluntarily trades his study hall every day in order to help keep the cafeteria clean and shows his true character outside of school by being a member of Campus Life and was able to take a mission trip to the Dominican Republic this summer. Tucker is the oldest of 5 children and can regularly be found helping one of his siblings getting in or out of school, finding their book bag or running to class. In all of this, when Tucker speaks, people around him – especially his classmates – listen, making him a true standout from the rest.” – Beth Hench, Administrator
“Johnathan has managed to overcome obstacles and

has focused all his energy into his education and maintaining high grades to secure his future. He is a true inspiration and kind young man. If a student deserves to be rewarded, it’s Johnathan Harris.” – Clinton Harris, Parent

“Jordan Cupp is a hard worker who cares about his classmates. His enthusiasm for school is contagious and he loves to participate in activities with his peers.” – Michael Kauffled, Administrator
“Bryce is an exceptional student who excels in

whatever he sets his mind to during his academic experience at River High School. Bryce is well respected by his teachers and peers. He currently holds a 3.8 GPA, and he is enrolled in several honors courses at River High School. Bryce challenges himself academically and he is very respectful student in school. It is with great pleasure that I have the opportunity to nominate Bryce for this prestigious award.” – Ed Trifonoff, Principal

“Logan is a thriving 16-year-old boy with goals & ambitions. He takes welding in school, goes straight to work after school and stays active & healthy at the YMCA. He is determined to make it in this world and make something of himself. He is considerate of others and is always helping someone or thinking of a way to help.” – Trisha Williams, Parent
“Arielle Dickey exhibits all-star tendencies in the

classroom and in the community! She is an Academic All Star due to her classroom performance. Arielle takes on challenging, above grade level material and works relentlessly until she masters the subject area. She is also willing to help her classmates achieve classroom success. She asks intriguing questions to learn as much about the subject area as possible. Arielle leads quietly in the classroom. She leads by example by always doing the right thing, participating in class and always using kindness toward her classmates. Additionally, she is involved in her church youth group where she also exhibits these outstanding qualities.” – Kristen Rine, Teacher

“Brooke Schultz has been at Westview since Kindergarten and each year she has continued to mature, demonstrate more responsibility and academically excel in numerous areas. Brooke is a model student in many ways, but there are definitely a few reasons she stands out compared to her peers. She shows kindness and compassion toward her classmates, but the support and genuine interest she demonstrates toward one classmate goes above and beyond. She walks with him in the hall and recess and genuinely cares about his wellbeing. She helps carry his backpack and Chromebook throughout the day. Brooke is currently an all-A student, participates in Art Club, Choir and Student Council.” – Nick Moore, Administrator
