$2,000,000 Win on $300 Million Diamond Dazzler

BARBERTON – John Martin of Barberton found his biggest Ohio Lottery win yet on $300 Million Diamond Dazzler, when he won the game’s top prize of $2,000,000.

The $2,000,000 prize is an annuity, paid as $100,000 a year for 20 years. John chose the cash option of $1,000,000. After state and federal tax withholdings totaling 28 percent, he will receive $720,000.

John bought his ticket at the BP at 1450 Brittain Road in Akron. He said he usually doesn’t purchase more than one $20 ticket, but this time he bought two. His big win came on the second ticket. 

“I was stunned. For being 53 years old and having a bad back, I still did a pretty good somersault onto the bed!” John said.

He plans to save some of his winnings, help his mom out and make his family’s life a little better, thanks to his big win.
