Two Winners Claim $1 Million Max the Money Ticket

SANDUSKY – Anita Stearns and Alvin Morris of Sandusky won the top prize of $40,000 a year for 25 years on the Max the Money instant ticket. 

Stearns and Morris took the cash option of $1 million, in lieu of the annuity prize, and will equally divide their winnings. After mandatory state and federal taxes totaling 29 percent, they will receive $355,000 each.

The winning ticket was purchased at Hy-Miler, 310 W. Perkins Ave, in Sandusky.
