One of three second-tier Mega Millions Prizes claimed

NORTH CANTON - Three second-tier prize-winning tickets were sold in Friday’s Mega Millions’ drawing. William Wilkes of Wooster won $250,000 after having one of those tickets sold August 23.

Wilkes receives $177,500 after mandatory federal and state taxes withholding totaling 29 percent.

He used auto lotto, purchasing the ticket from West Liberty Bell Store. Located at 516 W. Liberty Street in Wooster, this retailer receives a $1,000 agent bonus for selling a second-tier prize winning ticket. The winning numbers were 1-9-17-20-53. The mega ball number was 14.

Big Daddy’s Kwik Stop in Mansfield and Community Market in Wapakoneta sold the other two second-tier prize winning tickets in this game. They also receive a $1,000 agent bonus.
