YOUNGSTOWN – A 47-year-old resident of Newton Falls bought a top-prize winning Ohio Lottery ticket in Ravenna. Thomas Blake won a $1-million annuity top prize on the instant game, Money in the Bank.
Blake had the option to choose the $500,000 cash prize equivalent, and chose the cash. After mandatory federal and state tax withholdings totaling 29 percent, he receives a lump sum of $355,000 that he will use towards education.
Blake purchased the ticket from Circle K #5365, located at 1370 Main Street, Route 14 East, in Ravenna. Circle K receives a $10,000 selling bonus.
