Salem Man Surprised by Ohio Lottery and $2 Million Win

GIRARD, OH – John Cramer of Salem thought he was going to lunch with his daughter, but this afternoon he left a millionaire thanks to a surprise from the Ohio Lottery.

Cramer was the winner of an Ohio Lottery Top Prize Drawing for $2 million. He was entered into the drawing in August of 2011 after he won $5,500 on a $20 Lucky Millionaire instant ticket that also had the TPD symbol. Cramer’s name was pulled out of the pool of 24 entries last week.

The Ohio Lottery staged a surprise reveal at Kuzman’s Tavern in Girard with the help of John’s daughter Ciera. Ciera returned home from college today and asked John to go to lunch with her. When they got there, John and Ciera were greeted by Ohio Lottery staff carrying balloons, flowers and an oversized check for $2 million.

John bought his ticket at Salem Sparkle Market.
