CLEVELAND – The Rangers of North Ridgeville High School in Lorain County are ready to celebrate as the Ohio Lottery’s Partners in Education School of the Year. A pep rally will take place Wednesday, September 5 at 1 p.m. in the high school gymnasium.
Cash Explosion co-host David McCreary will entertain the school’s more than 1,000 students. At the event, North Ridgeville High School will receive a School of the Year trophy, a $500 gift card to Office Max and team merchandise from several of the Lottery’s Partners in Education sponsors, including the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians. Every student will receive a School of the Year drawsack.
North Ridgeville High School was selected as School of the Year in a random drawing comprised of all Ohio schools participating in the Lottery’s Partners in Education program throughout the 2011/2012 school year. Participation means nominating outstanding K through 12 teachers and students for Teacher of the Month and Academic All Star awards, respectively, any month from September through May. Participation is open to every school in Ohio.
Five North Ridgeville High School students were named Academic All-Stars during the 2011/2012 school year.
The Ohio Lottery’s Partners in Education program started in 2007 to recognize and reward outstanding teachers and students from all over Ohio. Visit www.ohiolottery.com/supportingeducation for more information.
