Scioto Downs receives VLT Operating License

COLUMBUS – The Ohio Lottery announced today that Scioto Downs Racetrack is the first racetrack in Ohio to be licensed as a video lottery retailer under the Lottery’s Video Lottery Terminal (VLT) Program. Scioto Downs in Columbus is set to open its VLT facility next month with 1,800 video lottery terminals. The racetrack will add 400 VLTs and a 300 seat buffet in a second phase later this year.

The Ohio Lottery will add approximately 15 to 20 new jobs in information technology, accounting, audit and security as a result of the VLT program at Scioto Downs.

The Scioto Downs VLT program is estimated to generate approximately $3 million per month in revenue for the state.

One hundred percent of Ohio Lottery profits generated support K-12 education in the State of Ohio.
