Standing by her Numbers

CINCINNATI- Two second-tier prize winning tickets were sold in the November 2, 2011 Powerball drawing. Cindy K. Hendricks of New Richmond won $200,000 for having five of the five numbers and no Powerball.

Hendricks said she and her husband have been playing the same numbers for over a year, and she was afraid to stop playing them. Persistence paid off because after mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 31 percent, Hendricks receives a check for $138,000.

She purchased the ticket from Speedway, 520 Sycamore Court in New Richmond. The numbers were 12-14-34-39-46. The Powerball number was 36. Speedway receives a $1,000 agent bonus for selling a second-tier prize winning Powerball ticket.

North Coast Wine & Beer at 1630 W. 117 Street in Lakewood, Ohio sold the other second-tier prize winning ticket in this game. That ticket has not been claimed.
