DAYTON - A resident of New Carlisle may not have won the Powerball jackpot, but she is still a millionaire. Lorainne R. Hiles won $1 million, a second-tier prize, in the July 13 Powerball drawing after matching five numbers and saying yes to Power Play.

After mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 31 percent, Hiles receives a check for $690,000.

Hiles purchased the ticket from Andes Drive Thru & Carryout at 321 E. Dayton Drive in Fairborn. Andes Drive Thru & Carryout receives a $1,000 agent bonus for selling a second-tier prizewinning Powerball ticket.
