Two win big money in Dayton area

DAYTON – Two players of Ohio Lottery games got lucky, winning “nice chunks of change.”  Melanie Alioto of Huber Heights won $219,000 after matching all five numbers in the May 6 Rolling Cash 5.  Lonnie D. Combs of Dayton won $250,000 after matching all five numbers and no mega ball in the May 13 Mega Millions drawing.
After mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 31percent are withheld, Alioto receives $151,110. Combs receives $172,500.
Alioto purchased the winning ticket from Kroger, 7747 Old Troy Pike in Huber Heights. The winning numbers were 12-13-18-31-34. She used auto lotto. Kroger receives a $500 agent bonus for selling a five-of-five Rolling Cash 5 ticket.  Combs purchased the second-tier winning Mega Millions’ ticket from East Third Shell, 3406 East Third Street in Dayton. The winning numbers were 3-33-39-47-53. The mega ball number was 9.  East Third Shell receives a $1,000 agent bonus for selling a second-tier prizewinning ticket with no mega ball.
