Cortland player wins $100,000

YOUNGSTOWN – It was a special kind of spelling for resident of Cortland, Ohio. Betheny R. Palmer won $100,000, a top prize, after having ten words spelled correctly on the instant game, Special Edition Cashword.
After mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 31 percent, Palmer will receive a check for $69,000.
Palmer purchased the winning ticket from Circle K #5427, 238 S. High Street in Cortland.  Circle K receives a $1,000 bonus for selling a top prize winning ticket.
