Life’s good for Canton player

NORTH CANTON - Life is good for Canton resident John R. Curran.  He won $10,000 a year for life, a $150,000 top prize scratching the Lottery’s It’s a Wonderful Life instant game ticket.
Curran chose the cash option. After mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 31 percent, he receives a one-time check for $103,500.
Curran purchased the top prize winning ticket from Volkert’s Party Store. Located at 2535 W. Tuscarawas St., in Canton, this lottery retailer receives a $1,500 agent bonus for selling a top prize winning ticket.
