Life, a bit better

YOUNGSTOWN - Life just got a bit better for a resident of Girard. Thomas R. Williams won a top prize, $10,000 a year for life after scratching the Ohio Lottery’s instant game, It’s a Wonderful Life.

Williams chose the cash option, $150,000 before taxes. After mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 31 percent, he will receive a lump sum payment, $103,500.

He purchased the ticket from Churchill Commons Giant Eagle.  Located at 4700 Belmont Avenue in Youngstown, Churchill Commons Giant Eagle receives a $1,500 agent bonus for selling a top prize winning ticket.
