ATHENS -- A resident of New Lexington is jumping for joy after winning a second-tier prize on an Ohio lottery on-line game. Jack Jones won $250,000 for matching five of the five numbers drawn and no mega ball in the 1- 4-11 Mega Millions game.
After mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 31 percent, Jones receives a check for $172,500.
Jones purchased the second-tier prize winning Mega Millions’ ticket from Woolfes Huff & Puff Mini Mart. Located at 605 N. Main Street in New Lexington; this agent receives a $1,000 selling bonus. He used auto pick. The winning numbers were 4-8-15-25-47. The mega ball number was 42.
