BROOKLYN HEIGHTS - Coming close is good especially when it’s in the Ohio Lottery’s Mega Millions game. James E. Shelton of Strongsville came close winning $250,000 for matching five of the five numbers in the 1-15-10 Mega Millions drawing.
After mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 31 percent, Shelton will receive a check for $172,500.
He purchased the second-tier prize winning Mega Millions’ ticket from Circle K #5246. Shelton picked the numbers. The winning numbers were 4-7-19-21-38. The mega ball number was 29. Located at 9080 Pearl Road in Strongsville, Circle K receives a $1,000 bonus for selling a second-tier prize winning ticket.
