Group claims $250,000 in Cincinnati

CINCINNATI– A group of 20 will split $250,000 for having a ticket that matched five numbers in the October 16, 2009 Mega Millions’ drawing.
After mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 31 percent, the following will divide $172,500.

They purchased the second-tier prize winning Mega Millions ticket from Colerain Marathon. They used auto lotto. The winning numbers were 10-13-18-33-51. The mega ball number was 43. Colerain Marathon receives a $1,000 agent bonus for selling a second-tier prize winning ticket.

Since 1974, the Ohio Lottery has raised more than $16 billion to support K-12 education across Ohio. The Lottery’s fiscal year 2009 transfer to the Lottery Profits for Education Fund was $702.3 million.
