My Sister Peg

by Teresa C.
My sister Peg is a selfless individual. She is always thinking of others and helping others. In the early 1990's she wrote a story to the Cleveland Indians about how our father Wally went to as many Tribe games as he could. From the time he was a young boy living in Cambridge Ohio into his late 70's when walking on a cane. How in his 40's we moved to the Cleveland area. Through the decades he never gave up on the Tribe and was a forever fan. He went to games when he could and listened to them on the radio on our front porch when he couldn't. The story was for a 'Dream Night' and my sister's story was the winning entry. And what a prize! My father got to throw out the first pitch at a game at Municipal Stadium! He thought he died and went to heaven. Today my sister lives in Albany, New York and is a huge Tribe fan and Lindor fan. She told me she cried when driving by Progressive Field recently on the night of a home game when she was coming to Ohio to help our 99 year old mother.
