Voluntary Exclusion Program Applications
With the racino properties reopening beginning June 19, the Ohio Lottery is resuming the acceptance of applications for the Ohio Voluntary Exclusion Program.

Individuals seeking to enroll in the program, as well as those seeking to remove themselves from the program, can do so in person at each of the racino properties.

In response to current public health guidance, we are asking all individuals who come to our offices to please adhere to the following:

  • Facial covering is required while in the offices.
  • Maintain appropriate social distancing from others while in the offices.
  • Please conduct a self-screening before entering our offices. If your self-screening causes any concerns, please refrain from entering our offices and call us to inquire about alternative methods of completing voluntary exclusion applications. Some items to consider during the self-screening are:
    • Identifying whether you have any respiratory symptoms, including a cough or shortness of breath;
    • Experiencing any other symptoms of COVID-19 recognized by the CDC that are not otherwise explained by a known condition other than COVID-19 within the last 14 days; and;
    • Whether you have either: (a) recently travelled internationally, or (b) been in direct contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.

About the Program
This program offers individuals the ability to ban themselves from a racino or casino facility in Ohio for one year, five years or lifetime. If you want to enroll, you will be asked to complete the Request for Voluntary Exclusion form located at one of the seven Ohio Racinos or four Ohio Casinos, in the presence of a trained staff member of the Ohio Lottery Commission or Ohio Casino Control Commission. Once the request is accepted, you are not permitted access to any Ohio racino or casino facility during the length of the self-exclusion period.

The Ohio VEP requires the following:
  • A participant agrees to refrain from entering a racino or casino facility.
  • The participant’s name shall be included on a list of persons excluded from all racino and casino facilities.
  • The participant and their personal information are confidential.
  • The racinos and casinos are required to make all reasonable attempts to stop all direct marketing efforts to participants.
  • A racino and casino operator will not cash a check or extend credit to a program participant.

There are consequences if you enroll and then enter a racino or casino. You can be charged with trespassing and you will be forced to surrender any jackpots won and/or any credits and vouchers owed by the racino or casino.
