NORTH CANTON... Yesterday she found $10 dollars, today she's a millionaire. Kristina K. Schneider of Akron won $1,000,000 on Magnificent Millions. She filed a claim in the North Canton regional office this morning. The single mother of nine-year-old Janae said she would use her win to pay off bills and invest for college since she is a student. After mandatory federal and state withholding taxes totaling 31 percent, Schneider will receive $34,500 for the next 20 years. “A customer came in and bought two Magnificent Millions tickets leaving one left on the roll. I tried to convince him to buy it but he said no,” she said. “It was the last ticket; I used the ten dollars that I found to buy it.” |
