LORAIN - Two winners of Ohio Lottery instant games will get an early start on holiday shopping. Lynn E. Broome of Mount Gilead won $20,000 on Jingle Bell Doubler. William Giles Jr., of Huron won $10,000 on Holiday Winnings.
After mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 31 percent, Broome will receive a check for $13,800. Giles receives a check for $6,900.
Broome purchased Jingle Bell Doubler from the Kroger Company, 555 Marion Road in Mt. Gilead. Giles purchased Holiday Winnings from Friendship Food Store, 1318 Cleveland Road in Sandusky.
Since 1974, the Ohio Lottery has raised more than $16 billion to support K-12 education across Ohio. The Lottery’s fiscal year 2009 transfer to the Lottery Profits for Education Fund was $702.3 million.
