Tuesday, November 03, 2009

COLUMBUS- Two players in the Columbus area have something in common, winning on the same kind of instant ticket and the same amount.  Wanda M. Cassady of Chillicothe won $10,000 on the $300 Million Extravaganza. Daniel H. Miller of Washington Court House also won $10,000 on the same kind of instant ticket.

After mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 31 percent, Cassady and Miller will each receive a check for $6,900.

Cassady purchased the winning ticket from Huntsman Market, 6211 Blain Highway in Chillicothe.  Miller purchased the winning ticket from Cash & Carry Food Mart, 1200 N. North Street in Washington Court House.

Since 1974, the Ohio Lottery has raised more than $16 billion to support K-12 education across Ohio. The Lottery’s fiscal year 2009 transfer to the Lottery Profits for Education Fund was $702.3 million.
