Three players win in Akron-Canton area

NORTH CANTON - Three players of Ohio Lottery games have won. Ryan P Luette of Akron won $125,500 for having one of two winning tickets that matched five numbers on the 8-7-09 Rolling Cash 5 game. Timothy J. Hlavin of Wadsworth won $250,000 for matching five numbers on the 8-14-09 Mega Millions drawing. Erica L. Pratt of Garrettsville won $10,000 on Double Lucky Times 10.
 
After mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 31 percent, Luette will receive a check for $86,595. Hlavin will receive a check for $172,500. Pratt will receive a check for $6,900.
 
Luette purchased the winning ticket from 22 Brew Thru. He used auto lotto. The winning numbers were 6-14-19-20-30. Located at 2010 E. Waterloo Road in Akron, 22 Brew Thru receives a $500 agent bonus for selling a winning ticket. Hlavin purchased the second-tier prize winning Mega Millions’ ticket from Bob’s BP. He picked the numbers. The winning numbers were 8-22-25-33-35. The mega ball number was 46. Bob’s BP at 16 W. Streetsboro Road in Peninsula receives a $1,000 agent bonus for selling a second-tier prize winning ticket. Pratt purchased his winning ticket from Valero, 527 North Freedom Street in Ravenna.
 
Since 1974, the Ohio Lottery has raised more than $16 billion to support K-12 education across Ohio. The Lottery’s fiscal year 2009 transfer to the Lottery Profits for Education Fund was $702.3 million.
