Thursday, March 26, 2009

COLUMBUS – A resident of Columbus filed a claim for a top prize in an Ohio Lottery on-line game in the Columbus regional office. Robert F. Nanak won $100,000 for saying “yes” to the KICKER number printed on his 3-20-09 Mega Millions ticket.

After mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 31 percent, Nanak receives $69,000.

He purchased the winning ticket from The Kroger Company. The KICKER number was 7-7-3-9-8-8. Located at 1441 Parsons Avenue in Columbus, the Kroger Company receives a $1,000 bonus for selling a top prize winning ticket.

Since 1974, the Ohio Lottery has raised more than $16 billion to support K-12 education across Ohio. The Lottery’s fiscal year 2008 transfer to the Lottery Profits for Education Fund was $672.2 million.
