LORAIN - Three residents in the Lorain region claimed prizes after scratching Ohio Lottery instant games. John W. Glover Jr. of Elyria won $10,000 on the $2 Million Anniversary Spectacular. Everett A. Woolford Jr. of Amherst won $20,000 on Ohio’s $200 Million Club. Arthur F. Parks of Spencer won $10,000 on Double Doubler.
After mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 31 percent, Glover and Parks will each receive a check for $6,900. Woolford receives a check for $13,800.
Glover purchased the $2 Million Anniversary Spectacular instant game from Kathy’s Kloset, 41957 N. Ridge Road in Elyria. Woolford purchased the Ohio $200 Million Club instant from Giant Eagle, 2201 Kresge Drive in Amherst. Parks purchased the Double Doubler from Heberleins’ 9275 Norwalk Road in Litchfield.
Since 1974, the Ohio Lottery has raised more than $15.5 billion to support K-12 education across Ohio. The Lottery’s fiscal year 2008 transfer to the Lottery Profits for Education Fund was $672.2 million.
