COLUMBUS – For most Cash Explosion® Double Play game show contestants, the excitement spreads throughout the entire family. For Linda Manning of Toledo , her January 8th appearance on the show inspired her kids to write a song about Cash Explosion®.
During the player introductions, Linda had a chance to sing a couple bars of the song. Soon after she finished her chorus of “Hey, Hey, Hey,…You Gotta Play” Linda won $20,600 – which will have her singing all the way to the bank.
Billed as “television’s richest game show,” Cash Explosion® Double Play features eight contestants who select various squares on a game board to reveal cash prizes ranging from $1,000 to $3,200. The game board also includes two ‘double’ squares which applies to the next amount selected and one $25,000 ‘bonus’ square. Two semifinal games are played and the contestant with the highest dollar amount at the end of each game advances to the championship game.
Cash Explosion® contestants are selected every two weeks in a drawing administered by the Ohio Lottery and observed by the State Auditors office. Each game show entry ticket and “Play-at-Home” ticket selected is validated and the individual is contacted by the Ohio Lottery.
