Second winner claims RC5
Tuesday, January 11, 2005

DAYTON…A Miami County resident is second to claim one of two winning tickets sold in the January 8, $429,000 Rolling Cash 5 game. Maxine Bitzow of Troy won $214,500 for matching all five numbers. She filed a claim in the Dayton regional office this afternoon.

After mandatory federal and state tax withholdings totaling 28.5 percent, Bitzow will receive a check for $153,367.50. She plans on helping her two children and putting some money in the bank.

Bitzow picked her own numbers, adding that she picked numbers in the twenties. She had stopped playing them but recently started playing the same numbers again. The winning numbers were 2-20-24-26-28. She purchased the ticket from Carl’s Cruise-In, 929 W. Main Street in Troy. Carl’s Cruise-In receives a $500 agent bonus for selling a winning ticket.

Margaret A. Hartmann of Massillon, holder of the other winning ticket purchased at BP, 2711 Lincoln Way in Massillon, filed a claim for her ticket yesterday in the North Canton regional office. She used the auto lotto feature. BP also received a $500 bonus for selling a winning ticket.
