CLEVELAND… A Lorain County resident will be loaded with dough after winning a top prize on an Ohio Lottery instant game. Michael R. Haggard of Lorain is the first player to win $50,000 for 20 years/one million dollars, on the Stacks of Cash ticket. He filed a claim in the Lottery’s Central office yesterday.

He opted for the lump sum cash payment. After mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 31 percent, Haggard will receive $345,000.

Haggard purchased the winning ticket from True North, 1150 Tower Blvd in Lorain. True North receives a $10,000 agent bonus for selling a winning ticket. Stacks of Cash costs ten dollars. Eight top prizes were loaded in the game.
