TOLEDO… For seven players who took a chance for education, there was a whole lotto winning and claiming going on in the Toledo regional office this week. Julie A. Russell of Fayette won $100,000 on Special Edition Cashword. Jimmy L Gilcrease of Lima won $15,000 on Vacation Cash. Mary Ann Lapointe of Erie won $20,000 on $2 Million Anniversary Spectacular. Barbara F. Malotke of Toledo won $10,000 on Magnificent Millions. Cynthia L. Krohn of Riga won $10,000 on $200 Million Cash Spectacular. Doris A. Ehlers of McClure won $10,000 on Double Diamond Dazzler. Michael R. Jewell of Lambertville won $50,000 for matching five numbers in the August 3 Rolling Cash 5 drawing.
After mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 31 percent, winners will receive the following amounts. Russell receives $69,000. Gilcrease receives $10,350. Lapointe receives $13,800. Malotke receives $6,900. Krohn receives $6,900. Ehlers receives $6,900. Jewell receives $34,500.
Russell purchased the winning ticket from U. S. Main Stop, 17980 U S RT 20 in Fayette. Russell is the first to claim one of the six top prizes in the game. Gilcrease purchased the winning ticket from Cappi’s Pizzeria, 640 W. Elm Street in Lima. Lapointe purchased the winning ticket from In & Out Mart 5544 Alexis Road in Sylvania. Malotke purchased the winning ticket from the Kroger Company, 2257 N. Holland Sylvania Road in Toledo. Krohn purchased the winning ticket from In & Out Mart, 8249 Sylvania Metamora Road in Sylvania. Ehlers purchased the winning ticket from BP Lassus Handy Dandy, 1201 N. Scott Street in Napoleon. Jewell purchased the winning ticket from Barney’s Convenience Mart, 6005 Secor Road in Toledo. The wining numbers were 8-9-12-20-24. He picked the numbers. Barney's Convenience Mart receives a $500 bonus for selling a winning ticket.
