Polander $100,000 richer

YOUNGSTOWN…A retired worker from Poland is the Ohio Lottery’s newest Buckeye 5 winner. Donald Broll won the top prize, $100,000 in the Monday, March 18, 2002 drawing. He filed a claim at the Youngstown regional office yesterday afternoon.

Mr. Broll purchased his ticketoSchnieder purchased the ticket after listening to his wife’s suggestion. The winning numbers were 4-6-13-29-37. The Schneider’s of Philo, filed their claim at the Ohio Lottery’s regional office in Athens on Monday morning. After mandatory 27 percent Federal and 3.5 percent State withholding taxes, they will receive a one-time check for $69,500.

The winning ticket was purchased at Green Acres Grocery, 8635 S. River Road in Blue Rock, Ohio. Green Acres Grocery receives a $500 agent bonus for selling the winning ticket.
