A.  New Year’s Raffle is an exciting game with the best odds to win $1 million dollars!

A.  The New Year’s Raffle drawing will occur on Wednesday, December 31, 2008.  The drawing date will not be extended. Results will be posted the same day on the Ohio Lottery's web site at 8:30 PM.

Q.  When can I cash my winning New Year’s Raffle ticket?
A.  If you win $500, you may cash your ticket beginning Thursday, January 1, 2009. Winners of the top prizes can redeem their prize at any Lottery Regional Office beginning Friday, January 2, 2009.

Q.  How will the Ohio State Lottery publicize the winning raffle numbers?

A.  Several methods will be used to communicate the Winning Raffle Numbers to both retailers and players.  Here’s how it will happen:

• Retailers will be able to print a Winning Numbers Report from their Altura terminals that will list all 506 winning ticket numbers after the 7:30 evening drawing.
• New Year’s Raffle drawing results will be posted to this web site at 8:30 PM on December 31.  All 506 winning numbers will be listed sequentially and by prize tier.
• During the live broadcast of the evening drawing on Wednesday, December 31, the top 6 winning raffle ticket numbers will be crawled by our carrier television stations.

Q.  Is there anything special about the numbering sequence for the sale of New Year’s Raffle tickets?
A.  Yes!  Tickets will be sold in reverse order.  The first ticket sold will bear the number 500000.  The last ticket sold will be ticket number 000001.

A.  Listen for the tune, “You’re in the Money”.  You will receive your New Year’s Raffle ticket and a separate coupon for the $100 Instant Win which can be cashed right on the spot!
