FAQs For Existing Retailers

Who may be eligible to sell KENO?

A location holding a State of Ohio Class D liquor permit provided that the location operates as a bar, restaurant, tavern, entertainment establishment, social, veteran or fraternal organization may be eligible to sell KENO. Final approval to sell KENO is subject to Ohio laws and Ohio Lottery Commission rules and regulations.

Can I sell KENO at my convenience store?

No. Regardless of the type of Liquor Permit that you may hold, you must operate as a social establishment to be eligible to sell KENO.

Do I need to apply for a license so that I may sell KENO?
Existing Retailers will be asked to complete a "Monitor Game Addendum Application". You may obtain one by contacting your local Lottery regional office or by clicking on the link below. You may also call the Ohio Lottery Sales Office at 216-774-5680.

Existing Retailers do NOT need to obtain new background checks, EFT accounts, or to make any changes to their existing bond. KENO accounting and operating procedures will take place under the online drawing game parameters.

What will the commission be for retailers who are eligible to sell KENO?
Commission will be the standard rate for the sale of lottery games in addition to standard cashing bonuses.

Will I have to attend training for KENO?
No. While we suggest training on KENO, it is not required for existing retailers. To assist our existing retailers, fact sheets and other educational materials will be included with the implementation of KENO.
