Trotwood Madison Middle School Teacher is honored
by Ohio Lottery
XENIA - Nathan Warner is being honored by the Ohio Lottery as Teacher of the Month for the month of September. Warner represents the Dayton area. Warner teaches 6th and 8th grade Language Arts at Trotwood Madison Middle School.
Warner’ s ability to connect with students whom others find unreachable separates him from his peers when it comes to teaching. Warner also works as a Mentor Coordinator in a school based Mentoring Program. He is able to take students with a “who cares” attitude to an “I care” attitude because of the way he connects to them through both his lessons taught and his relationship with them.
He approaches each student individually and is able to help a student gain passion for their academic future. “Good knowledge of the subject, great erudition, and knowledge of children’s psychology make him an outstanding teacher,” says Patricia Stewart, Director of the Mentoring Program.
For being recognized as Teacher of the Month, Warner will receive four tickets to a Cincinnati Bengals’ game along with merchandise from the team. He will also receive Partners in Education merchandise from the Ohio Lottery.
The Ohio Lottery will continue to recognize Teachers of the Month and Academic All Stars throughout the school year. For more information about the program and for nomination forms, go to www.Ohiolottery.com.
