Veteran Teacher is honored by the Ohio Lottery
NORTH RIDGEVILLE - Thomas Hermensky is a 5th grade Science teacher at Walter G. Nord Middle School. He has taught for twelve years and is the recipient of the Ohio Lottery’s Teacher of the Month award for the month of September. Hermensky represents the Lorain area.
Hermensky is described as a “positive role model” for students. “His approach in teaching is a blend of multimedia, textbooks, supplemental resources, computers, and challenging games of inquiry. His classroom comes alive with the daily enthusiasm of his students,” says Barry Kaufman, a Para-Professional who works with Hermensky.
For being recognized as Teacher of the Month, Hermensky will receive four tickets to a Cleveland Browns’ game, merchandise from the team, recognition at the event and Partners in Education merchandise from the Lottery.
