WOOSTER - Juanita Booker was recently recognized as a Teacher of the Month by the Ohio Lottery. She represents the Akron-Canton area. She is a 2nd grade teacher at Melrose Elementary School located in Wayne County.

According to Dean Frank , the principal at the school, “Juanita Booker demonstrates a well-organized, positive classroom, which makes for a great learning environment. She does an amazing job with students with disabilities or behavior issues. She keeps student interest high by using a variety of teaching strategies such as hands-on activities, good questioning techniques and educational projects.” She is an effective communicator and is highly respected by the parents, teachers and staff that she works with on a daily basis.

For being recognized as a Teacher of the Month, Booker will receive four tickets to a Cleveland Cavaliers’ game, recognition at the event, merchandise from the team and an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Ohio Lottery.
