Riverside Academy teacher is named Teacher of the Month

CINCINNATI –Melissa Vandeventer was recently recognized by the Ohio Lottery as October’s Teacher of the Month. She represents the Cincinnati area. Vandeventer is a 2nd grade teacher at Riverside Academy in Hamilton County.

Vandeventer is referred to as “lighting a fire” in students minds and hearts. She has passion, determination and a belief that all children are able to learn. She is a valuable member of the instructional team and is able to mentor, coach and praise students. She works collaboratively with members of the administrative team. She recently completed coursework to earn a Masters’s Degree.

For being recognized as a Teacher of the Month, Vandeventer will receive four tickets to a Cincinnati Bengals’ game, recognition at the event, merchandise from the team and an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Ohio Lottery.
