Mathematics teacher receives recognition:
Teacher of the Month Award
CLEVELAND - Michelle McLaughlin is a teacher who shows constant dedication to the students entrusted in her care. She is a Math teacher in grades 6, 7 and 8 at St. Mark Catholic School in Cleveland. She is described by her school principal, Dr. Marilyn Kurnath, as “fantastic!”
McLaughlin is a technology director at the school, and she is able to troubleshoot any technical problem that comes her way. She is the teacher editor of the school newspaper. McLaughlin also mentors groups to compete in both the Classroom of Champions at St. Edward High School and other math competitions.
McLaughlin constructed the Web site for the school which may be viewed at www.stmarkwestpark.com. This has been a wonderful avenue for both parents and teachers to communicate about school events and education. McLaughlin also conducts seminars in computer training for fellow staff members to learn software programs such as EZ Grade Pro and Excel.
For being recognized as Teacher of the Month, McLaughlin will receive four tickets to a Cleveland Browns’ game, recognition at the event, merchandise from the team and an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise.
