Motivational second-grade teacher is honored by
Ohio State Lottery
CAMPBELL ... Dr. Robert Walls, principal of Campbell Elementary School, makes it very clear why he nominated Nicholas Glatzer as October’s Teacher of the Month.
“Occasionally, in an administrator’s long career, a few staff members stand out above their peers in intellectual, professional and personal development,” Dr. Walls says. “Nicholas Glatzer is one of those rare individuals.”
Glatzer, a second-grade teacher, is known as an excellent communicator and motivator for his young students. He also serves on the school’s Improvement Leadership Team and is active in the community. He started a youth group of Christian athletes because he wanted to offer youngsters “an alternative to the streets.”
Adds Dr. Walls: “Mr. Glatzer is a professional staff member with compassion, enthusiasm, intellectual intensity and positive character who is a constructive beacon of hope and inspiration for those who come into contact with him.”
For these reasons, The Ohio State Lottery is proud to honor Glatzer as the October Teacher of the Month for the Youngstown area. As Teacher of the Month, Glatzer will receive four tickets to the Lake Erie Monsters game against Toronto on Nov.17 and a prize pack of Monsters’ merchandise. He will also be publicly recognized at the game.
The Ohio State Lottery will continue to recognize Academic All Stars and Teachers of the Month throughout the school year. For more information about the program and for nomination forms, go to www.Ohiolottery.com.
