PATASKALA - Karen Frye is a 2nd teacher at Licking Heights South Elementary. She recently received the award of Teacher of the Month by the Ohio Lottery for the month of November. She represents the Columbus area in receiving this award.

Frye is described as an “excellent” teacher. She gives all students the encouragement that they can do anything they put their minds to. Her teaching methods are described as “wonderful.” She sees that no child is left behind even if it means bending to help a child out. She invites all parents to become involved with their child’s learning and is open to suggestions and listens to concerns.

For being recognized as a Teacher of the month, Frye will receive four tickets to a Blue Jackets’ game, recognition at the event, merchandise from the team and an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Ohio Lottery.
