CLEVELAND - Marianne Barry is a 4th grade teacher at St. Mark Catholic School located in Cuyahoga County. She was recently named a Teacher of the Month by the Ohio Lottery for the month of November. She represents the Cleveland area in receiving this award.

Principal Dr. Marilyn Kurnath says that Barry shows excellence in her teaching everyday. “She consistently urges students to aspire to higher levels. She helps every child to become tremendous learners and to love learning.” Dr. Kurnath writes that Barry wins the hearts of her students and that she is involved in various committees both at the school and in the community.

For being recognized as a Teacher of the month, Barry will receive four tickets to a Cleveland Cavaliers’ game, recognition at the event, merchandise from the team and an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Ohio Lottery.
