BERLIN CENTER - Kriss Yeager is a 5th and 6th grade Social Studies teacher at Western Reserve Middle School in Mahoning County. She is the Teacher of the Month for the Ohio Lottery for the month of November. She represents the Youngstown area.

“Mrs. Yeager embodies excellence in all she does in the school and community. She challenges her students to meet and exceed their abilities through creative classroom activities,” says Debbie Farelli, the school Principal. According to Farelli, she has proven herself as an excellent leader and role model.

Yeager provides positive opportunities for her students. She is also the sponsor of the high school drama club. She is a mentor to high school students. Another accomplishment of Yeager’s is her participation in the Upward Basketball Program for elementary students.

For being recognized as a Teacher of the Month, Yeager will receive four tickets to a Cleveland Cavaliers’ game, merchandise from the team, recognition at the event and an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Ohio Lottery.
