11th and 12 grade English teacher is recognized
by the Ohio Lottery
MILAN - Mary Taylor is an 11th and 12th grade English teacher at EHOVE Career Center in Erie County. She was recently named the Ohio Lottery’s Teacher of the Month for the month of November. She represents the Lorain area.
Taylor is described as very student oriented based on her efforts to communicate with her students and their parents. She pays attention to her students’ special needs and makes every effort to ensure success in the classroom. She “makes every effort to improve her teaching ability as well as to enhance the learning of her students. She does this consistently by learning new techniques and strategies through her consistent attendance at professional development opportunities,” says Joyce Brouman, assistant director. Taylor takes the training back into the classroom and implements it.
Taylor offers a challenging and interesting learning environment by using various teaching techniques within the classroom. For being recognized as a Teacher of the Month, she will receive four tickets to a Cleveland Cavaliers’ game, merchandise from the team, recognition at the event and an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Ohio Lottery.
