High School English Teacher is Honored by the Lottery
CINCINNATI... Jackie Cruse is described by Lori Franklin, (an intervention specialist at Oak Hills High School), as creative, intelligent, passionate, and caring. Teaching is a part of who Jackie is as a person. She expects excellence in the classroom for herself and her students.
Cruse is an English teacher at Oak Hills High School. She has assisted in curriculum alignment for one of the district’s alternative programs. She is able to provide differentiated instructions so that all learners are able to grasp concepts and grow as individuals.
Franklin describes Cruse as a “motivator.” She encourages and inspires the students to make good decisions and be the best they can be. She rewards them and praises them for their hard work. Every child is important to Cruse and therefore, feels important in their own eyes.
Cruse recently finished requirements for a superintendent licensure. She also places emphasis in community service. She volunteers for the Women’s Connection Organization which helps individuals make necessary contacts to improve their lives.
It is no surprise that Cruse is being recognized as The Ohio State Lottery’s Teacher of the Month. She represents the Greater Cincinnati area for the month of November. Cruse will receive four tickets to a Bengals’ game, recognition at the event, and a merchandise prize pack.
The Ohio State Lottery will continue to recognize Academic All Stars and Teachers of the Month throughout the school year. For more information about the program and for nomination forms, go to www.Ohiolottery.com.
