WHITEHOUSE—Nicole Kemmer was recently named Teacher of the Month by the Ohio Lottery. Kemmer teaches 1st grade at Crissey Elementary located in Lucas County. She represents the Toledo area.

A parent recently asked their child who made an impact on his grade school education and the boy responded, “Mrs. Kemmer.” Kemmer is a teacher who is always willing to meet with parents; she encourages students to excel and believe in themselves. Parent, Mary Beth McMeekan, says that Kemmer “…introduced students to experiments in science, games to learn in spelling and things to make history fun.” Kemmer promotes both self esteem and positive encouragement in the classroom which makes her students love learning.

For being recognized as a Teacher of the Month, Kemmer will receive four tickets to a Cleveland Indians’ game, recognition at the event, merchandise from the team and an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Ohio Lottery.
