Kindergarten Teacher Receives Recognition
From The Ohio Lottery
Painseville... Barbara Hogan is being recognized as the Teacher of the Month by the Ohio Lottery through its Partners in Education Program. Hogan teaches Kindergarten at Homer Nash Kimball Elementary.
Hogan is described as portraying excellence in the classroom and in her leadership in the school. “Mrs. Hogan combines a love of learning, depth of knowledge, teaching talent, and incredible organizational skills. These add up to one fantastic classroom,” says Shannon Kriegmont, Literacy Specialist.
Hogan participates in many professional committees, takes courses to fine-tune her teaching methods, and is technologically savvy. She is willing to work with others to integrate technology into their practice. Hogan’s students are described by Kriegmont as going above and beyond the masters of Kindergarten. They are learning words and sentences. “Mrs. Hogan has high expectations for herself and her students,” says Kriegmont. This makes a sure recipe for success in the classroom and as a professional in the teaching field.
For being recognized as Teacher of the Month, Hogan will receive four tickets to a Cleveland Indians’ game, recognition at the event, merchandise from the team, and an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Lottery.
The Ohio Lottery will continue to recognize Academic All Stars and Teachers of the Month throughout the school year. For more information about the program and for nomination forms, go to www.Ohiolottery.com.
