Central Primary School 2nd grade teacher is honored
by the Ohio Lottery

BEDFORD - Kathy Schilling is a 2nd grade special education teacher at Central Primary School located in Cuyahoga County. She was selected as a Teacher of the Month by the Ohio Lottery for the month of March.

Schilling has influenced hundreds of special needs students and their families. “Kathy has developed her many academic and people skills as she adapts to the changing face of education in Ohio. Kathy treats each child as a respected individual and scaffolds their learning so they will be successful. Students speak highly of her years after they have left her class,” says Becky Johnson, a literacy specialist at the school.

Schilling is a leader in her building and volunteers for various committees and activities. Johnson says that, “She brightens our school each day. She is known in the community as a respected, competent and caring teacher. Kathy is deserving of this award.”

For being recognized as a Teacher of the Month, Schilling will receive four tickets to a Lake Erie Monsters’ game, recognition at the event, merchandise from the team and an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Ohio Lottery.
