North Ridgeville Teacher is Honored by The Ohio Lottery

North Ridgeville, OH—Sue Wilhelmy is a Kindergarten teacher at North Ridgeville Education Center. Wilhelmy recently was honored by The Ohio Lottery as a Teacher of the Month for the month of March. Wilhelmy represents the Lorain area.

Wilhelmy consistently advances her students to higher levels of achievement through well planned and creative lessons. “She plans learning experiences that allow all students to access the curriculum and make meaning. She then provides feedback that guides students to mastery,” says James Powell, School Principal.

She comes to work early and stays late each night. She is willing to work with parents and other staff to solve any issue to best meet the needs of her students. Wilhelmy is described by Powell as “one of those outstanding, dedicated, and professional educators that constantly make a difference in the lives of our students.” The staff in her building are very proud of her efforts.

For being recognized as Teacher of the Month, Wilhelmy will receive four tickets to a Cleveland Cavaliers’ game, merchandise from the team, recognition at the event, and an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Lottery.
